Primer Bulb Recommendation?

I have an Atwood primer bulb that came with my boat that is rock hard and almost un-squeezable when it's less than 50-60 degrees. On my Nissan kicker motor the primer bulb is soft, easy to squeeze, and primes in just a few squeezes at any temperature. I'm pretty sure it's an OEM bulb that came with the motor. Can anyone recommend a good supple 3/8 bulb for my main motor (60 HP Johnson).

buy a moeller or OMC primer bulb. the Atwood ones suck

If you have had a pleasant experience with an OEM Tohatsu primer bulb order just the bulb without the side fittings, if the current Atwood's fitting it's same diam as the Tohatsu bulb, Bingo!! My current Tohatsu fuel line in use is 10 years old and the primer bulb works as when out of the packing, with just 3 full vertical squeeze will fully fill any carb run dry till firm...

Wally world here sells an OEM 3' hose and bulb for $35...........rediculous pricer but EPA got into the fuel line critique business and they are priced out of sight. Next time you go to an auto parts store for some fuel line hold onto your skivvies.......almost 4 bucks a foot! Wonder what's next for them to pick on and price out of sight for what???:??:?

Walmart doesn’t carry quality fuel delivery components. You want OEM Evinrude/Johnson, Yamaha, Mercury, etc.
Order from a high volume supplier..sitting on the shelf for a year or two prior isn’t doing you any favors.

Whatever you do stay away from third party fuel lines. The notorious Atwood “grey” primer bulb hose is a prime example.

I run E/J primer bulb and Trident A1 fuel line between filter and motor.

Well next time I am in a store I will check my comment's authenticity. I bought one and have it on my boat now and I am sure it was Quicksilver or Mercury brand. What caught my attention was the fact that the primer bulb wasn't the classic diamond shape and I thought that it was peculiar that OEM had switched bulbs......and the price.

It very well could be......but you have to watch Walmart.

A lot of companies produce (lower cost) products specifically for Walmart. Found that out while comparing serial numbers (options) on flat screen TVs sold by Best Buys and Walmart.

Have since found a number of items that don't fall in-line with OEM nomenclatures. Makes you wonder what else is different
