Primer bulb leaking down

[TRITON 225]

Cranks and runs perfect---run it to get to fishing spot-cut it off fish for couple hours ---will crank back up fine but give it throttle to go cutts off----go to back reprime bulb hard will run just fine--just dam aggrevating having to reprime it---ideas on whats going on ?--already replaced with oem primer bulb---replaced gas invet valve--checked lines to intake clean and free flowing---checked gas lines---ENGINE IS A 2000 JOHNSON 225HO--CARB TYPE WITH SELF MIXER

make sure NO leaks between fuel pump and tank. Also check anti-syphon valve.

no leaks-- valves been replaced

It is possible to have a fuel pump that is low in volume at idle. Try upping the idle speed for a few seconds before attempting to leave.

You could have a vro going bad on the fuel side or else an air leak you haven't found yet.
