Re: Primary Restoration Tools??

1- 4' grinder.
1- circular saw.
Another 4" grinder (for when the first chokes on the dust)
A shop vac. ( I use the wifes (don't tell her) home vac as it has suction plus, and throw away bags)
I use a pressure washer to blow all the dust and oil, etc. off and out the drain.

Other than that, it's hand tools ( a power screw gun is optional)

What you really need to do is get a good quality dust mask... I'm talking the rubber over your face with filters, not the cheap "surgical mask".... If you can taste it, you are breathing it.

Re: Primary Restoration Tools??

In my "demolition" phase I have found the following tools very useful...

Hammer
Chisel
Punches
Prybar
Wire brush

Electric Drill
Wire Wheel
Rotozip (grinder and sanding discs)
Dremel
Shop Vac

Besides all the fiberglass related tools I think I'll need a random orbital sander at some point. A table saw would be nice but I think I can make due with my skilsaw.

Don't forget safety glasses when all the fiberglass and wood chips are flying around. A set of hole saws. I think you'll know what you'll need as you go along. Christmas is only about 10 weeks away, good time to ask Santa for power tools

How cold is too cold? I am trying to wait until I can not fish any more before I start?

Sorry Holyman not trying to hijack the tread but it sounds like we are in the same situation (about to start soon) and our tempertures are the same.
