When purchasing a new Tahoe, is it possible to negotiate the price, similar to purchasing a new car? Or is it one-price shopping? If negotiating the price is out of the question, what other ammenities can be "thrown in"? Please share!!!

Re: Price Negotiations

Tahoe advertises "No Haggle - No Hassle" pricing. Fact of the matter is, all prices are negotiable. They want to move inventory and meet their sales quota in order to keep the Tahoe line in their dealership. If they won't negotiate, then move on to the next dealer. Bass Pro Shops may not negotiate because its their line of boats. I highly recommend that you go to an independent dealer. Look at their service department to make sure its will staffed and equipped.

Good luck!

It can be done, although most dealers will resist it. Tahoe selects and authorizes their dealers with this in mind...

What is more easily done is negotiating for some accessories to be thrown in...registration decals, life jackets, anchor, dock lines, etc...

I caught Tahoe offering a special and in addition to some included accessories, I got a $400 gift card to Bass Pro Shops...

Re: Price Negotiations

Thanks for the heads up. I believe some 2008 models are offering up to $1500 in accessories as an extra incentative to buy this late in the season. Unfortunately for me, my local Tahoe dealer doesn't have the exact boat we are looking for so I am having them do a dealer search (similar to the automotive world) so my flexibility with bargaining other special "benefits" will be reduced.

I was in a similar situation...no dealer in my area had what I was looking for...I ended up ordering mine from the factory (via my local dealer). It took nearly 12 weeks from ordering to delivery. The long wait was brutal, but it was worth it to have the exact boat I wanted...
