On my 57 Fisherman the female connector on the tank line leaks when connected to the male end on the motor. I replaced the O rings. It appears it may be leaking from where the brass fitting is pressed into the connector. Is there a sealer I can use or does the connector need to be replaced? Is there a way to remove the brass piece?

The best way is to use a jig thats made for this process.
Member "FR" makes these jigs.
Or the way I do it, its kinda clumsey but it'll work till I get one of FR's jigs.
First remove the fitting from the line.
Then take a socket wrench that is slightly bigger than the brass piece. Place the ftg. so the brass will fall into the socket.
Using a small pin punch, insert it in the fuel line side and punch
brass out.
There are some small parts that will accompany the brass.
Replace the O ring and reassemble.
Hopefully here is a link to a parts breakdown on Marineengine.com.
