What needs to be done is the agency of the Fed in place need to have the authority to do their jobs. OSHA has next to no power now until after something bad happens and then the fines are so low that big industry simply laughs at them.

I know I will catch all the you hate big corp crude but the only way to control any part of them from safety to fraud, gouging, pollution etc is with large fines or recourse for their wrongs.

Could the mine company have forsee and prevented this accident, would have mine inspections and enforcement of safety saved these mens lives. Let's investigate without a boot on the investigators throat.

Large companies did not like OSHA for a reason and it was money. They dislike the pollution controls for a reason and it is money. When they can do it cheaper they move to other countries, hire children and others at slave labor and sell to America.

No, you do not actually. You are always ready to heap ridicule upon those who offer ANY defense on him or his admin, after every whining liberal attack, from Iraq to Katrina. From Haliburton to Mine desasters!! They whine, yet when we point-out their deciet, WE are the ones who get accused of doing the whining?!
That's as priceless as ever!
You may truely "be tired of this", but you'll just have to grit your teeth my friend, and bear your lashing like a man!

Can't you keep your kook-fringe from tripping-over each other in their run for the nearest media operative, as opposed to defending them after they yet again, attack my president?
It's not fooling anyone anymore. It has become one joke after another. This irresistable urge of liberals is so predictable, Rush Limbaugh is making "obscene profits" doing just that too (this link will illustrate yet another example of this predictable conduct from the left)..
Not convinced yet?
Here is the story of another one caught in the act of trying to blame Bush.
And this is just on the sibject of mines exploding! Wanna talk about the decline in the grouper fishery? Don't tell me, i know -- "Bush did that too", right?

Yet, you defend these nightly alphabet propaganda cry-babies by attacking any agency of the federal government you used to uphold as God-like at every turn under other bosses -- Even when not one change has been made since that bastion of authority, Bubba had the whip cracking over them! Sad, PW. Really sad.

PW, You listen to NPR, don't you? If so, you must've missed another tear-filled report of Bush's shortcommings. It makes me sick personally, but sometimes, i have to listen to what "the enemy" is saying....you know -- Alqeuda? **** Durbin? "all things 'Considered' "?
Anyhow, they had a real line-up today, of one whining lib after another, blaming Bush for his "lack of oversight", ot "turning a blind-eye to the violations in the mines"...Yes, my 'progressive' friend, i withstood it. after all, even as nauseating as it is, it does proivide an occasional laugh, or fodder for later rants by ol 12Footer. :D

   What 12 footer said. Right down the road at Beckley is the world class National Mine Safety and Training Center staffed and with dorms and all. I underwent training there. I never met any incompetents in national mine safety administration and training and I doubt if Bush has injected any. Old Sheets got the federal money and sees that the safety effort continues to be well funded and provided for. It's simply too important not too. A good operation in a dangerous business.

Well txs, if you were as politically and philosophically as wise as you let on, you would have to admit that this 'attack' was absolutely no different than the majority of other politically motivated attacks on GW.

Does Katrina, for one, come to immediate mind??

Why anyway does the Liberal mind think that Uncle Sam needs to be responsible, right down to the grade of toilet paper you use??

I think that we should institute forced "FEDERAL REPUBLIC" education camps. :p

Re the apparent paranoia from the right:

See multiple posts above. I rest my case.

And FTR, I take sole responsibilty for my comments only, and not for what others may or may not have said, no matter where they may fall on the political spectrum. I don't criticize you for what Pat Robertson says, and I don't respond to criticism from what others say.
