I am in search of advice on prepping my 16' duracraft jon boat for new paint, the boat im assuming has origianl green paint which was super oxidized. Today i decided id try to get oxidation off, using a angle grinder with a wire wheel i got the oxidation off but it kinda made the paint shine. now im at a lose on what to do next i dont want to strip the paint all the way off just because it is stuck well, im going to be putting a camo paint job on for upcomimg duck season.

Sand it with a R/O sander and 80 grit paper... Wipe it down with acetone. Spray any Bare Aluminum with Rustoleum Self Etching Primer. Prime the entire boat with 2 coats of Rustoleum Clean Metal Primer. Then do your thing with the camo paint.
