Re: Prayers for Rickairmed & Family

Glad to hear everyone is doing better. So just how bad is the damage to their home? It certainly doesn't sound good.

he was saying that alot of the floor joists need to be replaced, as well as parts of the sub floor and alot of the wiring. the fire was in the basement btw. they arent sure what started it, just that it started in the laundry room. he said that once the kids are home and they get the living situation all set then he will talk with the investigators more about what happened.

Re: Prayers for Rickairmed & Family

I second what NB has said, let Rick and family know if they need anything to let us know.

Thank God that Rick's son is coming home and his daughter's health is improving. Is she still on the vent?

Re: Prayers for Rickairmed & Family

My sincere hope that everyone is well. I and my family are praying for Rick and his family. If there is ANYTHING I can do, please let me know. Is there a fund I can contribute to? I am sure clothing and such are needed. Times are tough for everyone, but a friend is a friend is a friend! Trusting in God, Dale

Andy has suggested perhaps establishing a Paypal account were we can help with what we can. I was thinking the same, just didn't know how to go about it. I have a little extra $$ at the moment so I am happy to help.

I know Rick is a proud man, but do not think he would be offended.

Hidi Ho fellow Cult members :D. I just wanted to pop on here real quick and give everybody an update . My son was released from the Hospital yesterday and is doing pretty well. My daughter is still being bull headed and fighting with the docs and nurses but they are supposed to be pulling her breathing tube today which is great news . I think if she does well over the next couple of days they will let her go as well. We have a place to stay a buddy of mine here had a shotgun house he was getting ready to rent out and told me to stay as long as needed . Still working on the motorhome ( its snowed in ) LOL. I will give Kev a call later to update and also try to get back on here to update yall. We truly appreciate all of your prayers and well wishes for us and the Kids mostly. I know I still have to finish the Jupiter at some point here :D.

Glad to see you on here and that everyone is doing well.

Is insurance taking care of the damage?

Here's to speedy recoveries and fair treatment from the insurance company.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop...I'm assuming that the Jupiter is unscathed?

That is great news Rick. Take care of the family first, the boat can wait. (like I needed to say that) As you can read, we are all concerned so if there is anything we can do. This dosen't have a damn thing to do with pride, you know you would do the same for any of us. Please let us know what you need.

Re: Prayers for Rickairmed & Family

Hey guys quick update aughter had her breathing tube removed yesterday and if she behaves today and passes her swallow test they will actually let her eat semi real food LOL. The Jupiter is in the driveway and is fine looks just like the last pictures in my thread ( other than a foot of snow ontop of it ) :D. The insurance adjuster has been great through all of this although it is a slow process he has actually added to the bids I have gotten for repairs ( due to the fact most of the contractors who have bid the jobs are freinds of mine :D). I of course will be doing all of the HVAC repairs myself so all I will be out is materials but he made me add labor charges and standard markups on parts . I will also be doing most of the plumbing repairs myself so that will be much cheaper than what he is paying for . I will be working with my brotherinlaw to do the structural repairs and my electrician buddy gave me 2 prices ( one ofr the insurance and one for me ) . We have a house to stay in until the repairs on ours are done ( another freind who is refusing to charge me rent only utilities ) . I plan on tossing some money at him anyways if things turn out well with the insurance . The adjuster is supposed to fax me a copy of his report on friday and will be giving it to the insurance on monday if I approve it . Like a big dummy I had insurance on the house and not the contents but the way things are looking I should be able to replace most of the damaged items with leftover money from the insurance ( time will tell on that ) . I do appreciate as well as my family the thoughts and prayers from all of you's guys :D. I will update as I can ( thank goodness I have a crackberry phone so I can tether it to my laptop for internet ) .

Glad everyone is fine rick. Damn when you first told me this it didn't sound as bad, You sure handle stuff well is all I can say. I am so glad to hear your kids and the rest of the family is fine. The rest is just material objects easily replaced. Sorry I didn't post it here I didn't know you wanted me to put it here. I thought you meant if I saw them on chat. I was sick as a dog with the flu still getting over that. Quit worrying about the jup it will wait.

I'll be glad to help out. I've got a few extra duckets laying around myself. I'm not sure I can set up Paypal and all that but I still know how to write a check:cool:.

Yea back in the day we had these paper things that you wrote a dollar amount on it and you put them in these paper sleeves and put a little stampy thing on it from this inefficient government organization and a man on a horse took them:eek:..............

JK, someone PM me if you need me, offer stands.

Rick,

With the family recovering the rest should be a breeze.

Don't know if you need to replace a vacuum cleaner but a few weeks ago I won one in a raffle and it is yours if you want/need it. Did not even open it up. Just give me an address PM and I will get to you via UPS.

Its been sitting in the garage waiting for a new owner.

Albert
