So I am about to start my second restoration project. It is a 16ft John Dory. I am torn between installing a used 2 or 4 stroke. The big question is will I be able to recoup my money, if I decide to sell the boat, if I install a more expensive 4 stroke. Everyone's thoughts would be appreciated.

I like older 2 stroke motors.-----They are simple , cheap and easy to repair.----They use more fuel but that matters not for the amount of boating I do.------But the general public buys / wants 4 strokes that start by looking at and pushing a button.
