Powerhead swap

Wondering if anybody out there can help me. I am wanting to swap my 1979 Merc v6 150 powerhead on to my 1987 Merc v6 black max. Everything looks to be the same other than the Oil Injection system. I could care less about that and plan on running pre-mix anyway. My 135 had a piston go out due to a OI failure.

Any tips? Things to look out for?
Much appreciate any info. I love this site.

It will swap as long as you use the 79 adapter plate...
