Powerhead removal 95 40 hp force

I am preparing to remove my 1995 Force 40 hp powerhead. My maintenance manual says to remove the flywheel nut and install a "lift eye" then attach a hoist to the lift eye. I do not want to purchase the lift eye tool as this is going to be a one time removal and re-installation. (I hope)
Question: What are other ways of lifting the powerhead off of the leg. I am thinking of using a heavy duty cargo strap wrapped around the powerhead as a lift harness.
Another question: How much does a 40 hp powerhead weigh?

not sure on weight.
entire engine is 188#
guessing the powerhead is about 80
