Powerhead adapter plate?

I had an earlier thread about water leaking between my powerhead and the adapter plate it sits on. Also I think my water pressure is just a little weak. So I have decided to lift the powerhead and replace the gasket. Someone on this board also suggested it might be the gromet on top of the water tube. Would it be adviseable to check that gromet while I have the powerhead off? If so I think I would have to also remove the powerhead adapter plate. My repair manual doesn't seem to cover removing that plate. Is it a difficult job?

Yes, I would definately check your water tube grommets and all the passageways, while you have it apart. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to replace the grommets.

Re: Powerhead adapter plate?

I was hopeing for a little advice on how to remove the adapter so I could get to the top of the water tube because like I mentioned before my manual doesn't seem to give much information on the midsection. Guess i will just tear into it and figure it out as I go.
