POWER TRIM & TILT

my power trim & tilt is completely out of order,,however i was thinking about taking it out today, my concern is ,will the motor stay in place while the boat is in motion?

Until you put it in reverse, then the engine will move up. Tilt cylinder holds the engine down in reverse.
