Power trim and tilt will not go up

Have a 75 hp Force by Mecury Marine on a Landau pontoon that will not go up with the trim switch. I can manually move the motor up by loosening the screw on the resevoir and then retightening. Once the motor is raised the switch will return the motor to the down position. The resevoir is full of fluid. Does anyone have any ideas on further troubleshooting.<br />Thanks

You can hear the motor running while lowering, correct?<br /><br />bad relay, bad switch, or loose/broken wire someplace.<br /><br />Trace the 2 wires from the pump back up inside the cowling.<br />They should lead you to the two relays, which are about an inch square and plugged into the wiring harness. Remove the two relays and swap them around ( switch harness connectors ).<br />Now try the tilt. If it is a bad relay, the motor should now trim up, but not down.<br /><br />You can get a new relay from NAPA or A Merc dealer.
