I'm in the process of lifting my 80 HP Mercury Thunderbolt off my bass boat in order to get the cap of the boat off for floor and maybe transom repairs. I need to disconnect the hydraulic lines from the power trim pump so I can feed them out to the motor prior to lifting the motor from the boat. Question: Are there any special things that need to be done prior to or after disconnecting the hydraulic lines? How much fluid can I expect there to be in the lines? Thanks for your replies.
