Can anyone tell me how to let down the motor with power tilt, it is a 100 horse evinrude 1980 year. The power tilt is not working and the motor is stuck in the up position, can u use the wires(3) that go to it and try each one strait to battery?
you should have red green and blue. red is the hot feed, the other colors one is up, the other is down. you may have to use the release screw on the port side of the transom bracket, it will be extremely tight.
U are spot on about the colors so i will give that a try, and that screw on the side, maybe if i had some explosives, i am now down two screwdrivers. This is the first time i have used this forum but i must say i am shocked how quick U responded, THANK YOU!!!!
