Power tilt and trim problems!!! I NEED HELP ASAP

I have a 2006 Yamaha 50hp 2stroke outboard and my power T&T just stopped working from my controls! It works from the side of my motor but on my throttle at the helm i get no response! But if i start lifting or lowering my outboard from the side of the motor and have my girl press the button on the control it then works until she stops pressing the button! I NEED this fixed and dont want to take it to a dealer for a simple fix! I looked for any loose wires and didnt see any but i didnt know what to look for. I have no clicking or any noise when I try at the helm but the T&T works perfect from the side of the outboard with NO hiccups or nothing unusual! Nothing special happened to cause this! It worked Saturday perfectly and then I took my boat out again Wednesday and it didnt work at all! I always wash my boat after i take it out could water be the culprit? I NEED this fixed for the 6th for lobstering!!! Please help, Thanks TY

You say you need help, then post a Yamaha repair trouble in the Non Repair forum. Not the way to get quick, effective help.

I think you have a bad switch.

I will move this to the Yamaha Forum.
