Power steering pumps

I thinking about purchasing a boat with
2 Mercruiser 5.7
Bravo 3 Drives About 2002 the owner told me they removed one of the pumps not sure which starboard or port and hooked it up to run 1 Has anyone heard of this before Haven’t took the boat out on a test run your thoughts

Could have been leaking, Don't buy a boat without a test drive

Be very afraid, if the motor isn't started with water running, then the block could be cracked. Don't buy a boat without a test drive
Getting ready to test drive engines run great I’m just worried about having 1 power steering pump I will supply more info on this in the next few days I appreciate any help on this subject I can get

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,...... Generally, twins will only use 1 P/S pump,....
If the 2nd motor has a pump, it's just looped back to itself, through a 2nd cooler,.....
The drives are usually tied by a tie-bar, with only 1 P/S system used,....
