Power pack

Replaced bad power pack on 1993 200hp Evinrude. Now have a high temp alarm when put in gear. Replaced power pack three time. Now replaced stator. Problem still there. Does Evinrude have different power packs for same motor?

No different packs. In what kind of time frame did you have to replace 3 packs ??

After trying two power packs I took the boat to the shop where I purchased the power pack. It's been in the shop for 5 weeks and at that time he replaced the stator and one more power pack. Looking on line there is another power pack that is listed for 1992 and down. I wonder if the power pack on my motor is an earlier model.
