Ahoy Mates!

Kudos to the guys who helped me find a shop manual for the Chrysler motor last year (1970 55hp)

Now I'd like to know who made this boat, and when it was made. It's been in my family for the past 40+ years but the original paperwork was lost in a fire. I've seen a couple in my lifetime, but can't remember who made them. Someone in Texas I believe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I attached the photo. How do you embed one in the posting?

Happy boating

Cool boat. Are there no markings on it at all?

I've looked everywhere and there are no markings. I recall Dad claiming it was a Cruiser built in Texas, but can't find anything to validate that. Got any ideas how to search for this other than google or yahoo?

Thanks
Bill

Don't know who built it but there is a similar boat along hwy169 about 10 miles south of 494. Been parked in the same spot at that house for 10+ years. Always wanted to stop and bug them to see if it was for sale. Cool looking old boat. :D

no idea, but looks like a rough ride in rough water.

She's a river boat no doubt. Rough water is a bit of challenge. Cutting into the waves at 45 degree angle is almost manditory. We stupidly took it on Lake Michigan once. Riding the rollers wasn't a problem, but after we beached at Point Beach north of Manitowac it quickly got swamped. That is a childhood memory I will never forget. The lake trout were good though!

Sounds like a ride down Hwy 169 is in order to see that similar boat. Maybe they've still got the papers or manufactures plate.

How well does that Glovit stuff work? Is is like liquid wire? You know that rubbery stuff you can paint on wires instead of using tape. Does it flow into all the seams? I'd love to leak proof her.

If you go for a look it will be on the left side when traveling south on 169. If you make it to Jordan you missed it. Boat was there Friday when I went through that area. Fyi, I don't know if they are made by the same company but it looks like the same type/style boat. ;)
