This is my new to me 1988 115 fresh water merc. I just recently purchased this motor for a whopping $300.00. Wife thinks I paid too much, told her $200. The only thing I’ve had a chance to do to it is clean it and conduct a compression test. Cold motor put all 6 @ 120 psi. Spark plugs looked great, power trim works and have recently received control box and new impellor. This motor has been asleep for over six years. I’m looking forward to getting her ready and replacing my 1973 850 merc, which runs great by the way, just want some more power. The 115 came with a 15 x 11p prop, must have came off something big.
How about an old Mark 20H Cornpopper... Runs high 50s on my B-Stock Runabout...
