Re: Post a Random Fact(s) About Yourself
One time me and my friend went camping. My friend was driving his suburban, and we went up into the mountains down some abandoned forest service roads made up of rough gravel and dirt.

About 20 miles down this road we found a good spot and got out.

Psssssssssssssss...........

What's that sound? Tire was leaking. Ok, no big deal, we have a spare. Start unloading the suburban (which was FULL of camping stuff) looking for the jack. My friend just got the suburban, didn't have a clue where it was. The manual pointed to where it's stored in a different trim level.

So, tire was still leaking, couldn't find the jack. We decide to frantically reload the suburban and floor it 20 miles back to where the cell phone works. After that we calmed down, found the jack, changed the tire, and went back to the campsite. We picked a new spot about 30 miles from cell service.

The next morning we wake up, "does that tire look low to you?"

Yep. 'nother one was flat. We leave our camp set up, drive quickly to where the cell phone works and call a friend to bring us an air compressor. It was a slow leak in the second tire, and now we had a compressor, so again we went back.

We park in some grass and my friend says "geez, the muffler must be hot, listen to the grass sizzle".

No, that was a THIRD tire. Then a bunch of asterisks started flying out of our mouths.

So, we turn on the air compressor, a slow little 12v POS, and again, frantically reload the suburban to get to where the cell phone works.

While we're doing this we hear CLICK CLICK POP HISSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

That was our compressor blowing up.

Now we're exchanging flat tires with other tires that aren't quite as flat. We had to dig holes around and move huge bolders that were in the way of the jack.

We slowly drive back to cell service ON THE RIM, get a ride back to my house. We go back up there with more compressors, tires, and tire plugs. As my friend was driving on the highway one of the tires that was flat blew out.

Changed another tire, drove to the tire shop, spent alot of money, and went home. These were pretty new Goodyear tires.

Wow, that turned into more of a story than a fact.

Now you know why I always bring 2 compressors and a tire plug kit when I go camping.
