Thanks! It sure dont look its age!! The antenna is for the ship to shore radio. A good think to have out on Lake Michigan!

Figured if i keep it at a 45 degree angle......it would be less wind resistance, making me go faster!!
I wasnt really using it, I put it up part way so i could listen to the marine forcast when I was out there.

could of answered that its a legal requirement that all skippers on coastguard waters monitor channel 16 . for distress calls.

You've got a keeper there....and I don't mean the boat. My kids grew up on the lake. There's nothing better with a crying baby then a boat ride. If the motion doesn't quiet them down then the wind noise makes them harder to hear.
