Based on the windshield, I'd guess it's late 60's early 70's, and although all 4 guys fit, it seems a tad small, plus it has a relatively small OB cowl/hood. So I'm guessing it's a Jet, Jet Star, Nova or Falcon. 14-15ft. Not likely to be a Jupiter, Nassau or Viking, which are the 16ft versions of the same looking boat.

The vent was probably a dealer or owner added option. I've not seen it on very many SC's, but it was a popular style/type of bubble windshield used by 1000's of boat makers, both fiberglass and aluminum. Possibly made by Taylor Made,

A profile shot and having dimensions would certainly help: Length (a 15ft Jet is often not exactly 15ft), maximum beam (width across the boat, usually thru the helm), transom height and transom beam.

If that bow color is original, just faded, it too may help ID the year and make. Look thru the brochure pages:Starcraft brochures

:welcome: to iboats Memphis. That's nice little runabout SC which even one she is. Looks like the power was upgraded some too from the 1960's. :thumb:

nice looking boat! Could anyone help me find out the year of my boat? Its the Starcraft Sprint V there is NO HIN on the back , only # is one the compliance tag near the steering wheel and Shifter and its #915660 I need to try and find another Cover as mine has a few holes in it and since I am going to restore it this fall i would really like to find a new cover. Thanks for any help/info in advance i believe there is a couple pics a page or so back. but i can also email someone pics if they need in order to help. thanks in advance
ps. what a great boat! it was our first boat ever and it has ran amazing all summer long and never had one issue. it does about 40-45kms full out. I will be repainting the Motor and getting the factory decal package as it looks so crappy right now and its been such a great motor it deserves to look like a brand new 1977 mercury 500

New to the forum however I've owned Starcraft's for 20 years and proudly own 2 Starcraft's right now. Here are some pics of the boats that I've owned throughout the past 10 years or so......

2007 Islander 221V - 4.3L 220hp

Check out the custom exhaust the previous owner put on this. Not truly appropriate for downrigging but it is what it is (or was as I sold it)

Current boat - 2009 Superfisherman 170 Sport (awesome all purpose boat rigged with a 90 Opti and a 9.9 kicker)

Current boat - 1995 Islander 221V Hardtop (4.3L 4 barrel - 200hp)
Don't worry, you will see so much of this boat in the next little while, you will get sick of it. Interior minus the cabin will be gutted, new floors, floatation, transom, and extras. Not sure if I'm keeping this or selling it when I am finished with this next spring. Personally, I'd like to keep both and my wife may be game for this as well......

Slim if you've torn into your Sprint V, start a Topic about your rebuild in the main Starcraft (or restoration forum if you prefer). That way we can follow along and all the details and pix about your boat will be all in 1 place in a continous 'log' rather then spread out over countless pages mixed w/ just pix of Starcrafts, rather then boats being rebuild.

Budski I think that is one of the best conversions of an SS to a potential fish and ski I've seen. Se looks real nice. I would love to redo my 16SS splashwell to resemble that one. Did you document it in the rebuild, and if so can you link the thread.

Thanks all, tnstratofam, I have the restore documented but was having so much trouble with iboats I couldn't even figure out how to start a new thread, but I can send you a few pics of the restore especially the modification on the splash well if you want. I might try and start a new thread in it if I figure out ho to do it.
