Re: Possible water pressure fault(MY2009 350MAG MPI)

well,i have not changed the sensor yet,but now i have another one problem. I have another one fault to the smartcraft screen that sais "key engine sensor fault.restart the engine and if the fault persist, see the dealer". I noticed that this fault appears to the smartcraft only if the water pressure sensor fault appear. For example ...i was approaching the dock and two beeps was heard.the water pressure sensor and the key engine faults appeared. Then the beeps stoped. After about 5minues i unpluged the water pressure sensor and immediately the teo faults appeared, with the two beeps also. The engine runs just fine . I know that i must change the waterpressure sensor, but why the other fault appears? Do you know wht is the key engine sensor fault and what i have to change?thank you very much!

Hi I was wondering if you have resolved your issue with Water sensor. I have the same engine (350 mag) with an alpha one gen II outdrive. I had the same symptoms, and assuming that it was my impeller, I changed it to no avail. i only have 56 hours on the boat, but the boat this is the second season i have had it. The impeller i took out looked really good, but i replaced anyway. I think it is the sensor, but I am wondering if that solved your problem or whether it was a wiring issue. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome aboard burley325, you need to start a new thread with your question. Just because you have a similar setup doesn't mean you need the same cure.
