Possible airboat

Need some help Please. Mt 13 year old son wants to build a airboat. Mind you, we no nothing about an airboat. Here is a question for anyone who might know. We have a 16ft skeeter bass boat hull that is just sitting on a trailer. Is it possible to build a airboat out of this hull and if so can you give me some tips on how to go about starting to do it. Thanks alot.

check-out glen-l marine .. they have an airboat plans to build... looks pretty simple.. an it takes a vw engine with a ultralite pusher prop.. you can call or e-mail them with a thousand questions... they'll 'hold-your-hand thru out'...
