port motor stalls out unless starboard motor is underway

I have twin 94 70 hp evinrudes both motors will start and idle fine but when trying to put the port motor in gear it stalls out but when I put the starboard motor in gear and get moving the port motor will go into gear after 2-2 trys what is problem? Please help me with this im clueless!!!!!

Idle speed is set too low on the one that stalls.

Easy, but I can't quote the exact details. But you can figure it out. On the motor, look at the throttle cable coming back from the remote control. It will be attached to a lever that moves when you operate the fast idle lever on the control. Note that when you have it set on idle speed, that lever is limited/stopped by a knurled screw of some sort. Screw that screw in to increase the idle speed. If you have to move it very far, you may have to adjust the black plastic nut on the throttle cable to match.

DO NOT under any circumstance monkey with the adjustment that limits the full throttle travel!!! You can destroy your motor by messing with that one..
