port holes?

on the arowglass i am redoing she has 2 drain holes on the port side for the cooler's or storage under the 2 bow seats to drain out before i replace the foam in the keel and the deck or floor i am planing on running new drain lines to go to the bildge area so what would be the best way to cover up and close the drain holes up once i remove the threw hull drains?? in this picture you will see the holes in the red outline i have made..


P.S yes Oops i will post a picture of it once i get home i Promise..

Hi weekender. That's your starboard side. Just wondering, why do you want to re-plumb a system that already works, and send the water to the bilge? Not working correctly? It's really no simple task unless you're a glass expert. Filling those holes will require grinding down the gel coat, plugging, fiberglass work on the inside and probably installing some kind of backing plate, re gel coating and color matching. I would think twice about 'if it works, don't fix it' Just my .02

well i don't know if they where the cause of some water getting in or not and have not been getting any luck in finding any kind of plugs for them so they would be left unpluged when in the water.. unless i unscrew them remove them and then put some kind of glue or putting and reseal them??

These holes are way above the water line. You will find them in almost every boat out there. Installed right, they should cause no problems. Make sure the fittings are sealed with 3M 4200 so no water can seep in. If you want to scure the heck out of it, use anti siphon valve on your hoses. This will allows the water to travel in only one direction (from inside the boat to outside only) and stop it from traveling into the other direction.
