I'm running older 95 18' Pontoon boat.
2006 60HP Bigfoot 4 stroke
I'm trying to get more than 17 mph.
I've tried:
14x11 at 13mph 4200RPM WOT
14x9 at 17mph 6000+RPM WOT
14x10 at 15mph 4500RPM WOT
15 Spine

Problem is It seems to cavitate with the 14x9. I feel like I shouldn't see 6000 RPM if I have the load distributed properly. Just trying to get over 20 MPH if that's possible. Is there a prop that will put me in the 5500 to 5800 WOT range?

Party barges need 2 things to plane. Lots of hp and lift strakes. Your 1995 toon probably doesn’t even have lift strakes. Your big foot is also what would be considered a high thrust motor as they use the lower unit from a larger motor to move larger boats with less hp.

3mph is the speed of someone jogging. 17mph just call it good

in addition to what Matt mentioned. Pontoon boats really need a hydraulic jack plate as they are really susceptible to loading and for every change in load, the moor may need to be raised or lowered vertically to gain efficiency.

Back to your pontoon. until you get the boat up on the water, your speed wont change. even with 90hp, your pontoon will most likely only do 17-20mph

Just looking for a prop that will provide least 5500 rpm wot, 6000+ seems a little too much and 4200 to 4400 is just way off.

lower your motor 1" with the 9 pitch and you can loose 5000 RPM

get a prop with a bit of cup

or just back-off the throttle
