I just put strakes on my 2010 g3 sunchaser pontoon boat. It does not seem to have improved. I have a 115 yamaha on it and now when i try to trim it i barely move it up and the prop basically comes out of the water. it seems to be riding higher on the water. should i lower the motor some as it seems if it is riding higher then the prop should be lower. anyone else heard of this?

yes, lifting strakes will raise the boat . and then you need to lower the motor.

pontoons really need a hydraulic jack plate as the SWL has a greater swing than most boat hull types.

yep, the strakes did their job. Lowering the motor is the next fix. It can be surprising what difference 11/2, 2 inch drop can make...
