I have searched a lot and the only method I've seen to get a pontoon off of a trailer is pushing
the tongue down then jacking the back and moving the trailer forward and so forth. Once the trailer is far enough forward can I lower the stern onto the blocks then keep moving the trailer forward the

The scissor type trailers are awesome at this. Most will let you drop the pontoon right on the ground and then pull them out from under.

The bunk types are much more difficult, as you describe.

Oops fat fingers.
Moving the trailer forward until I can jack the bow up off the back of the trailer, pull the trailer and set the bow down on the forward blocks?

I've never done this so my idea may be full of holes, but here's what sounds feasible to me. I'd need to get the logs up off the bunks so I envision a heavy hoist with good height to lift the rear of the boat high enough to put a 10' long 4x4 between the logs and the bunks. I'd put supports under each end of the 4x4 and lower the boat on to it. Repeat that at the front and then pull the trailer out from the front. .... If I were doing this at my place, I'd use my tractor as the hoist.

Transom might provide a good blocking/jacking point for the rear.

We got the boat pressure washed today and are moving to it to the shop tomorrow. That gives me all week to figure out how to get the boat from the trailer onto the blocks. The boat is so high I cant get near the deck from my wheelchair.

I will have pictures of the wash and move tomorrow.

to get pontoons on blocks, one needs a scissor trailer.

in the fall and the spring, a scissor trailer literally will print money. My bud puts in and takes out many boats on his lake with his trailer (along with docks and boat lifts). that is $100 each trip for a pontoon.

In other words, it might be easier to put your boat in the water and pay someone with a scissor trailer to pick it up and drop it off at your place.

Sorry for being gone, computer crash, work covid and all that keeps getting in the way. We have actually made progress. We put the boat in the storage unit the day after we pressure washed it. We have stripped it down to all aluminum. I want to run the frame through a car wash before I put the new floor on. I have a new flooring kit sitting in my garage waiting for us to get the frame ready.

We pulled the Evinrude and all its controls off. Turns out it is a 1974 85 hp.V4, I have everything. I’m trying to get rid of it but that is not going so well. I have had it on Craigslist for 2 weeks and haven't had a nibble. Just now I dropped the price to $150, maybe that will work.

Is there something wrong with the motor, or are you just wanting to update it?

I asked my wheelchair van guy about used ramps and he had several. I got a manual ramp out of a worn out van. I thought about a powered unit but I wont be going out alone so I decided to save expense & weight. This one is nice as when it is folded it will open like a gate

So today we washed the pontoons and frame in a carwash then took the boat off of the trailer and onto blocks. We were able to slide the the boat off the trailer unto the back it was balanced then pushed the back down to the blocks. We then slid trailer until it was almost off, and had one person lift each pontoon and set in down on the blocks.

One step at a time
