Pontoon Engine Shaft Length

Hey, I'm trying to figure out what engine shaft length I need for a replacement motor on a 2003 22 ft. Sun Tracker. Can't seem to find the info on the web...thanks for helping

What length shaft is on the boat now? Replace it w the same shaft length.

To my knowledge, short shafts haven't been used on anything but small fishing boats for quite some time - 70's?

a common length is 20 inches known as a long shaft

Most common length are 20" long shaft.

Measure from the top of the transom pod to the bottom of the transom pod and if its closer to 15" its a short shaft, if its closer to 20" its a long shaft. Keep in mind there is about 2" of adjustment in the motor mounting holes.
