Pontoon Dent

I'm buying a new Pontoon and the dealership dented the right Log/toon. They said they tested it in the water and tested it for leaks. What do you guys think, I'm a first-time boat buyer and don't want to buy a dud. The Pontoon is a 2022 Starcarft.

Buying new...I'm the one denting it, not the marina.

My money, replace the log or order me a boat without dents.

They are taking 1,500 off the boat and including 6 life jackets, anchor & rope, fire extinguisher, and ring buoy.

I agree Brian but with how prices are right now on Pontoon's it's hard to beat these guys prices unfortunately, for me cosmetically it's not an issue, my biggest worry is a leak. I wanted to call starcraft and see what they would say.... if I asked them if it were to leak in the future, would they still cover it and it fall under the warranty. I couldn't find a good number to contact starcraft at.

It'd be in the owners manual. I'd ask for the number while at the marina and call directly from there. Depending on who you get, they may make the marina fix it before delivery.

Or as I said, walk. Personally I wouldn't take delivery. If they're selling it in that condition, what else did they damage that you can't see?

On the other hand you do not have to worry about putting the first dent in the boat. The exact reason why I hold on to my old boat I do not have to worry about dents or scratches.
