Pontoon Deck Help

I have a 77 weeres that I am fixing. My issue is, when the deck dries out, the wood sags between 2 supports. When it is damp / wet, like after it rains, the wood returns to being pretty much flat. When I purchased it, it was rainy for a few weeks, so I never noticed it until it was dry for a whole week. Can I put in some cross supports to keep it from warping, or do I need to replace the section of wood? Where can I get deck supports or floor joists or beams or whatever they are called? Thanks for the help!

Re: Pontoon Deck Help

I would add a support under the sagging wood. Replacing a section is quite a bit of work.

It was suggested to not use a wood 2x4 for a support. I doubt I'm the first to do this kind of thing... does any company make supports for this application, or do I just use some angle iron

I would not hesitate to use a 2X4 PT for a brace on a 33 year old boat. But the best would be some angle or channel aluminum.
