BPS in Harrisburg, PA, Gander Mountian in Washington, PA, and Cabelas in Hamburg, PA. Enjoy them all, prefer to shop Cabelas (usually only buy sales items and Bargain Cave stuff unless I am using Cabelas points :D ). The Cabelas Sale Tent is pretty cool too!

There isn't a BPS or Cabelas within 3 hrs of me. Instead, there is a half the size outfit called Lunkers that I frequent in Edwardsburg MI. For a local sporting goods store it does well against the big boys. Except for the private labled items, it seems to have everything that the big boys have. I don't know the sq footage but it is not your fathers sporting goods store.
If you're ever in SW MI, it is definately worth a look at.
Be sure to try a Bloody Mary in their restaurant/bar on premises. They're awesome!

Just went to the BPS and Cabela's down in Dallas and Ft. Worth. Picked up a reel in the Cabela's bargain cave, bought a bunch of lures at BPS. Definitely more fishing items at BPS. So much, I was exhausted after shopping. Of the three BPS I've visited, that was the biggest.

One of the locals told me they are opening another BPS on a lake about 40 miles away from the Dallas store. They're going to have docks accessible to the lake so customers will be able test equipment, and boats. Pretty cool.

They are both a long ways to travel for me. never been to either. I order online from both, seems to me I order more from Cabellas as the prices are usually a little better.

Its BP for me, cause Im only 10 minutes away. The Springfield store is the biggest. (and first) I have been to the Cabelas in KC MO, and it was nice. I didnt have alot of time to spend there, but I did like it.BP has an outlet store here in Springfield, and it is a great place to find bargains, you just have to check it everyday or so.

And BTW, BP was started by Johnny Morris. His dad had several liquor stores in Springfield, and Johhny asked him if he could set up an endcap with some tackle in his dads stores. His dad said that it wouldnt do very good, but gave him the chance and some startup money anyway. I guess he did something right!

I've been to the BPS in Nashville. Memphis and almost made the one in Sayreville near the Smoky Mountains...It opened the next day and we were passing through.
The BPs in Nashville is my favorite.. big and lots of stuff. I've been told BPS has bought the Pyramid in Memphis and will open a store in there...I'll be glad to see that one ...supposed to be the biggest one yet for them...
I've never been in a Cabalas...not one close...I'd like to see one .

I have been to the BPS in:
Sevierville TN
Lawrenceville GA
Macon GA.
I like the sevierville one for one reason. It is right on my way to our vacation house in NC. It is probably equal to the one in Lawrenceville. The macon one does not have all the tanks and stuff. But it does have some NICE old outboards on the walls along w/ some great decor.
