Polishing around Enblems

What is the best process for polishing around emblems that can't easily be removed. Tape off and compound/polish/wax by hand?

Polish right over them? If they are adhered well, just take it easy and go right over. That’s what I do.

I carefully mask and hand sanded. Then buffed over them as previously mentioned.
