Re: plywood hull pattern

Yeah, Crab Bait, building from scratch. Have built several skiffs and rowboats and am now ready to tackle something larger. Boat will be used for fishing inshore and near offshore. All plywood will be encapsulated with epoxy resin. A vee hull of about 12º deadrise should handle well. Can design and build the rest of the boat, however would like some help on cutting the hull panels. Intend to purchase a new Susuki DF70-DF90 depending on the weight of the finished boat. Any help would be appreciated.
ToyLady62@aol.com

Re: plywood hull pattern

This might be getting a little too technical, but hullform offers a free program to generate cut patterns from offsets. It's not exactly user-friendly, but you get what you pay for.

Check this link out. I would never attempt to build a baot from scratch without a set of plans. These plans are very inexpensive and detailed. I just got done witrh one and the tech support is great.

http://www.boatplans-online.com/
