Hi, it's my first post and I'm learning the ropes so please be patient with me.
I live by the Thames in England and wanted a boat to use on the river. It had to be small enough to trailer from garden to river yet big enough for a group of friends. I am letting it design itself as I go along but with a vague plan of a dutch Sloep i.e. open with small head in the bow, helming at the stern with loads of seating for my mates.
Despite reading as much as possible I still find the decision making process the most time consuming part of the project.
Here are some photos, one and a half years so far!View attachment 216914image.jpgimage.jpg

That is one heck of a shelter or build area you have in your back yard. Projects like yours are fun to tag along and learn from. I am subscribed!!

So, looks like i can only show 5 photos at a time. Here are a selection image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
3 coats epoxy then peel plyimage.jpg
I've fixed center sections of bulkheads with angle aluminium cleats, now in the process of preparing the rest.
Thoughts on
1. Using channel between cleats for drainage (the sole/floor/deck tilts toward stern)
2. The coaming to gunnel join is a work in progress! I am trying to keep the seats as far apart as possible to give room to walk about. I plan to sacrifice the ability to walk all round the deck sides as there will be boarding steps amidships and small areas on bow and stern to stand on. How do I make the join?
Thoughts would be welcome.

I'm not sure I understand your verbal description, so I'll have to wait until I can see what your talking about to help answer your questions.
