Plugs and wires

Hello everyone i had bought a 04 tahoe with the 190 hp 4.3 liter from my father in law 2 years ago. The boat is now 6 years old and is ideling bad. I was thinking i was going to change the plugs cap and rotor and was hoping behind the bench seat there was a panel that would come out so i can reach the plugs. I can not reach them thru the engin compartment opening or thru the storage door. It is starting to apear as if you would have to lift the engine up off the mounts to replace the plugs. Has anyone changed their plugs and how on earth did you reach them. Thanks Kevin
