If you guys have a question, ask the question and let everyone answer. Don't address questions to me specifically.<br />There are a lot better qualified people than me for many of the answers, and if I feel I have a better idea than someone else I will post a reply and voice my opinion.<br />From now on, if it has my name in title and you are wanting info from me only, forget it. I won't even read the post.<br />It's just not fair to everyone else that posts here.

Right on Don.<br />I've only been on this board for a short while but I was wondering when you were going to bring a stop to it.<br /><br />Like to thank you and others for all the great help you've provided.

Don, I understand your flustration, but part of people asking for you is in part caused by some of the off the wall anwsers that are given by some of the posters, just look at some of them---Bob

hey don i wish i know as much as you so people could ask me. <br /><br />lighten up man you are the man in this forum you leads the flocks of trouble shooters here, you are the only man in this forum who post picture of manuals and stuff like that. so when someone ask for don help that dosent means others caunt answer if they know the answer or simptom of the person problems<br /><br />out off all respect keep on helping <br /><br />and as they say, long live don <br /> <br />keep up the good work. and for marc c above, how can you say that adding fuel to the fire if you dont have anything better to say, its better you dont say anything. is like you incouraging don not to help guys who call his name for help.<br /><br />good job don and keep on helping<br /><br /><br />god bless

Maybe that's the issue here. How many times do you have to post a link to manuals or schematics of a VP inter housing - for instance. <br /><br />Maybe we need an FAQ with links to such things and help take the pressure off our Alaskan friend.<br /><br />Aldo

Whoa there. I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire (what fire anyway?) and certainly not encouraging anyone not to help.<br />To quote from above "if I feel I have a better idea than someone else I will post a reply and voice my opinion." So I don't think you have to worry about him not helping.<br />I'm a member of a number of forums and I've always found that a Topic that states the problem or question is of greater benefit to all the members than "I need help" or "Attention so and so"<br />As a matter of fact on this very board there is a link called "Suggestion for new posters" and I quote<br />"1. State your problem in the name of the topic"

Don S.<br /><br />I am not a big poster but found lots of good information in your old posts. Thanks to all your pics and links I recently succesfully changed all of the bellows on my outdrive. Thanks for the good information. I also saved some of the PDF files to which you posted links. <br /><br />Now you got any good tips on how to get the skin to grow back on my knuckles? Just kidding again thanks much.<br /><br />Peter

THERE ARE A FEW GUYS ON THIS SITE THAT I REALLY RESPECT THIER POSTS. THEY SEEM TO PROVIDE THE BEST IDEAS. I HOPE THAT THEY NEVER QUIT POSTING BECAUSE THEY FEEL THEY HAVE TO SIT HERE 24/7 AND ANSWER QUESTIONS FOR THE REST OF US KNUCKLEHEADS. BUT, JUST THINK HOW ALL OF US FROM ALL THE WORLD, NY,MI,AZ,NV,AUSTRAILIA AND EVERYWHERE IN BETWEEN ARE SITTING HERE TAKING ABOUT ONE MAN, IN ALASKA

I agree TOTALLY with Don on this, and also the questions asking for ANY specific person. Ask the general question and take it from there. Nobody gets paid for this, and to DEMAND someone give you specific advice is ludicrous. Try walking into your local marina, go right into the shop, pull the mechanic from his work, and ask him a question. HA...owner would throw you out on your ear. And the other thing that pisses me off while on the subject is a header with..."Why does this do this"....Think we should answer that with "Because". PLEASE post the PROBLEM.

Don; It gets a little old doesn't it? Its OK when you want to join the conversation but it is another story when they start calling you at home (the forum). I have to give you props though. You answered a lot of questions that I have answered many times before then stooped doing it because you get tired of repeating yourself. I guess thats what happens when you have been around awhile. You only tend to answer questions that no one else has a answer for.
