Changing the lower unit oil on a 3L Mercruiser. Open the vent plug, open the bottom plug til the oil drains out. Put the tube up to the bottom to refill, squeeze til it comes out the top, then replace both plugs. Right? 1 tube do it on that unit? Thanks!

You pretty much got it. Less mess if you use a pump instead of the squeeze tubes. Also less mess if you put in the top plug BEFORE you remove the tube from the lower fill hole after filling. Then put in the bottom plug. Unless you have a large squeeze tube, I doubt 1 tube will be enough. I have never changed fluid on an I/O, but I suspect you will need almost a quart.
