I recently acquired two 2002 Yamaha 150 hpdi motors with a 25" shaft length. Although I recognize that I can use a jackplate, I'd actually prefer to convert one engine to a 20" shaft by changing out the mid-section, drive shaft, and shift shaft.
I'd like to request help in identifying which other year/model Yamaha engines (parts) are compatible with the ones mentioned above in order that I can broaden my search, if possible, to include all possible options.
I'm also interested in asking what other swap parts, if any, in addition to the mid-section and two shafts will be required for the conversion--not including gaskets, seals, etc., of course.
