Please help identify potential project boat

I have been thinking of a restoration project for some time. The idea of taking a derelict hull and making it useful once more is appealing to me. this one caught my eye. Need help with positive ID on this hull. This hull has been sitting, along with many other boats on this man's property, for some time. I would like to know more about it before I approach the owner. Maybe Starcraft? Year? other threads with similar rebuilds? thanks for any wisdom shared.

Starcraft Chieftain from the 60's or 70's. Check the Starcraft section of this forum for brochures. Be tough to find a more worthwhile project! If it has an OMC sterndrive, I might be a little apprehensive.

Yup EZ is right, looks like a Chieftain maybe late 60s/early 70s based on the style.

She might look a bit rough, but you'd be surprised at the kind of potential these old aluminum boats have. Great project as long as the hull is not damaged.

Looks like you will need to bring a tire and maybe more to get that trailer ready to pull.
