hi need help removing lower unit under carb i see the where the rod connects but it looks like apine cant remove it ithought it suposed to be abolt to unlosen it dosent look like its been rung off to smooth could any one tell me how to remove the shifting rod its adoble arm looks like

There's a bolt in the middle of the bellcrank (double arms) Loosen that up, spread the far end, and the shift rod can pop off the pin.

That's the one.

You don't need to take it all the way out either. Just enough to spread the arms apart.
