Today I removed the impeller in my 1987 50HP johnson. The plan was just to put in a new one, but I discovered that there is a play of several milliometers in the axial direction of the drive shaft. I am not sure if this was there before I took of the pump house and impeller. There is also a play in the same direction of the propeller shaft. I suppose that this is not as it should be, bu what shall I do now????
