We just got a "new" boat with a Yamaha 30 DE0 from 1985 (6J8).
I had problem to get it running stable on idle, I checked with my clymers guide (which covers yammies from 1992-2004, not my year) and it stated that a 30 HP 3 cylinder should have different settings for all cylinders (all other models should have the same setting on all cylinders).
That didn't work!
By playing with the adjustment I found that 2 turns open on all cylinders worked fine, the bottom cylinder was really sensitive to the pilot setting.
Is this correct? Do anyone have the correct values?
What will be the effect if the setting is wrong but I still have a steady idle?
