The only reason we are leaving is the storm surge involved . I live on an island surrounded by salt creeks and marshes . Only one way in and out and the road/bridge exit will probably be under around 4 to 6 ft of water .
I don’t think it will get high enough to reach my house though .
Not worried about any wind . I built an ICF concrete foam block house with closed cell foam insulation sprayed under the plywood roof . The uplift strength of the system is really strong . Also used the peal and stick type underlayment under the shingles ..
