Hey guys,

I'm pretty new to boats. Just picked up a few weeks ago. Waiting to put some brakes on the trailer before I take it out.

First Boat ever! I think in 2013 they come stock with the 220hp motor?

I'll take a few pictures when I get home. I think there was a change under the bench seat cooler. You can access the gas tank now?

Does it have that on your 2012?


Our trailer did not come with brakes, is that big deal? Do you guys have trailer brakes?

Yeah mine has brakes - state law when gross weight is above like 3000lbs (IIRC).

Nope on the tank access under cooler. Pretty clear (not hidden?) how to get at it?

Just inside the engine compartment i have access to where the fuel level monitor (i assume) and PCV and vent is taped in. But i assume that is pretty standard issue on a sterndrive.

Welcome..

I've own my first boat for a few days shy of a month now. Managed to put 13h on it according to the dealer. Had it in to fix the oil pressure sending unit. Should get it back Friday.

What part of the country are you in?

I thought all Tahoe trailers had brakes.

Can't imagine driving safely without. Actually I can which is why I can't imagine it.:facepalm:
I had to brake really hard a few week ago and had inadvertently left in the reverse lockout pin.

Really struggled to slow down and I was towing with a Honda Pilot.

We are pulling it with a pretty big GMC Yukon - It is weird, only our boat had to trailer brakes...

Going to the trailer shop to either buy the surge brake parts or get them to install it.

Congrats on the new boat...I agree it looks like a cool color scheme. We are all waiting for more photos!! My trailer did come with brakes...however it is the Q7i.

Drove it every week so far. Fun little boat, don't have any pictures with the trolling motor on it.


Speedo stopped working yesterday, I prob bumped a wire hopefully. Other then that it drives and starts (when I remember the about the killswitch) everytime.

Engine is the 4.3 MPI.

Zigo when you are powering down the water you may want to keep that front window locked. All it takes is one gust of wind to send that window crashing back with enough force to shatter the glass.
