Perko Latchs/Locks

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've had almost all of my Perko T-handle flush mount Lock/Latchs .Go bad this year. It's the lock breaking. I removed it (lock) and have been trying to get, just the locks. No Luck!!!! I was hopeing some one here may help. I called Perko and talked to a Rep.They promised to get back to me! But "NEVER" heard back from them. I even found out how makes them but that company says they didn't carry it. Three lock smiths said it is a Tri Mark wafer lock. I need 6 locks. The lock is these measurements: . They are 0.496 diameter, 0.750 long not including little ***.That part is 0.121 in diamater 0.122 in height wafer plug lock, five wafers plus one ring that hold it in.Has RH01 on face of lock. Here are some pics:

Re: Perko Latchs/Locks

i work with locks. the problem here is that the plug (the part that has the *** broke off it) is very cheap, the lock is probably cheap. but it is probably made for yer design of cap assy. for perko. so it's unique. finding just the plug only, will be problematic at the least. even finding the correct lock will be hard. i think i'd pursue the perko line 1st. ya may just have to bite the bullet and replace the whole thing. if ya can still get it.... that's my guess. i did look in a couple a parts books to no avail as for anything like ya have.
if perko can't help. (they didn't help me either with a old stern nav light that was obsolete) yer gonna have to punt. go to local locksmiths and see if they got anything that could be made to work. the little *** is a common form of driving a lock bar (the cam part) if yer unsuccessful at that. time to start to engineer something that will..... just my 2 cents....

Re: Perko Latchs/Locks

I carried it to several lock smiths. It is a Tri Mark plug lock. They didn't have anything either. But they just acted like they didn't care. They still make the latch but it now has a silver handle.
