My boat/motor is below in my sig.VVVV

I bought the perko switch with field disconnect.
My alternator has like 6-7 wires on the back.
This is the right alternator for the switch? The switch sates for non-internal regulated. Those are the 1 wire type, correct?
On the back of the perko it has the three battery posts and two small 14awg wire terminals marked F to go in between the Field wire.
Seems pretty straight forward, just wanted to make sure.
I would look in my manuals but my boat is still in the shop and I keep them in there. :(
Included a diagram. I do not have a separate regulator.
Thanks

I do not belive I have seen a alternator with 6 or 7 wires but if you have a external regulator then disconnect the field wire from the back of the alternator and plug in into F1 on your switch. Then wire F2 on the switch to the alternator field winding.

Most alternator I have seen the F wire and the R wire on the back of the alternator will be in the same plug so you can either remove the wire from the F plug or cut the wire and run to the the Switch and back.

Your diagram looks correct. I would match the wire size of the current F wire or go up one size.

I believe you may have an internally regulated alternator.
